Disney+ Hotstar to introduce cheap subscription plans starting from Rs 49 in India, Know details about it

Disney+ Hotstar has been one of the prime OTT streaming service providers in India. Disney+ Hotstar not only offers access to latest TV shows and Movies but also offers live cricket. Considering the recent price change in the plans of competitors, Disney+ Hotstar is planning to introduce some affordable plans. As reported by different sources, Disney+ Hotstar will introduce two plans-Rs 49 and Rs 199. Through these affordable plans the OTT platform (Disney+ Hotstar) is thinking to increase its subscribers.

As reported by a user on Reddit, the Rs 49 Disney+ Hotstar plan is will be offered after a discount of Rs 50. This roughly means that the original cost of the plan is Rs 99. The plan offers a subscription for a month. This plan can be availed by users if they recharge using a card Paytm, PhonePe, or UPI.

On the other hand, as reported by Telecom Talk the Rs 199 Disney+ Hotstar plan will be offered to customers at just Rs 199. Users should keep the fact in mind that this plan is offered as an introductory plan. After the end of the plan the plan will be offered at Rs 299 plan. This plan has a validity of 6 months. Users will be able to access Disney+ Hotstar content in HD (720p) in this subscription.

For those who are unknown about Disney+ Hotstar subscription plans, the plans are offered in three types- Rs 499 Mobile Plan, Rs 899 Super Plan, and Rs 1499 Premium plans.

Recently, Video-streaming giant Netflix has announced new and reduced prices for plans in India, with the mobile-only plan now starting at Rs 149 per month.

Users will now pay Rs 149 a month from Rs 199 earlier for Netflix’s Mobile and Rs 199 instead of Rs 499 for its basic plan for the same period. The standard plan will be charged at Rs 499 per month.

The most expensive Netflix plan, which is the premium plan, will now cost Rs 649 per month. This plan used to cost Rs 799 per month earlier.
