2024 Kia Sonet facelift unveiled with design and feature upgrades in India

The Kia Sonet facelift has been unveiled in the Indian markets on Thursday. The booking of the SUV will begin on December 20.

The much-talked-about facelifted version of the popular Kia Sonet has been unveiled in the global markets including India on Thursday. The Kia Sonet facelift has been upgraded for the first time since its launch in 2020. The company has revealed that the booking of the SUV will begin on December 20, 2023. However, the price details of the SUV is not out yet.

Kia Sonet facelift highlights

The changes that stand out in the new Kia Sonet are the revised front fascia and LED lighting across the DRLs that has an Inverted L-shape along with revised headlights, and fog lamps. Like its other siblings, the Sonet Facelift now has a connected light bar that connects the ends of the tailgate at the rear.

The Sonet Facelift stands apart from the outgoing model with a new digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, ventilated front seats, new system for air condition, and a voice-controlled window function. Moreover, it is now equipped with the Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS) 1 suite that includes features like adaptive cruise control, emergency brake assist, automatic emergency brake assist, lane-keeping, and lane centring.

Powertrain options

A 1.2 litre Natural Aspirated petrol engine powers the new Kia Sonet and delivers an out put of  82bhp power and 115Nm of torque.

Like the outgoing model, the Kia Sonet Facelift is also offered in a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor. The former makes 114bhp and 250Nm of torque and the later generates 118bhp and 172Nm of torque.

The Kia Sonet Facelift is offered in a five-speed manual, six-speed automatic, six-speed manual, six-speed iMT and a seven-speed DCT gearbox.

Variants, colour options

The facelifted Sonet will be offered in seven variants, namely HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+, and X-Line, across 11 exterior hues. The monotone shades include Glacier White Pearl, Sparkling Silver, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Intense Red, Imperial Blue, Clear White, Pewter Olive, and Matte Graphite shade. On the other hand, the dual-tone colours include Intense Red and Glacier White Pearl with a black roof.
