Irrfan Khan To Star In The Sequel Of Hindi Medium?

Mumbai: According to latest reports, award-winning actor Irrfan Khan, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer in London may soon star in the sequel to his 2017 hit film Hindi Medium.

As per latest information, the makers of Hindi Medium flew down to London to meet Irrfan and narrated him the script. The actor was impressed by the storyline and has reportedly given his nod to star in the sequel to Hindi Medium. The movie will be produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Sources have revealed that the story in the sequel will forward ten years and showcase the trials faced by the Hindi loving Raj, played by Irrfan.

Irrfan is currently undergoing treatment in London for high-grade neuroendocrine tumour, a rare type of cancer, with which he was diagnosed earlier this year in March. Post this, the actor had quit two projects- Vishal Bharadwaj’s untitled film opposite Deepika Padukone and a political satire titled Gormint. He was last seen in the recently released ‘Karwaan’, co-starring Dulquer Salman and Mithila Palkar which did a fairly good business at the box office.

Notably, Hindi Medium was a satirical comedy-drama film, which revolved around the education system of our country. Directed by Saket Choudhary, the film had Irrfan Khan and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar in lead roles. The movie was a huge hit and had won accolades by critics and audiences alike.
