Duty above relationship! Assam woman cop arrests fiance after learning he’s a conman

New Delhi: Nagaon district police in Assam today arrested one Rana Pogag following a complaint against him filed by his fiance Junmoni Rabha, a Police Sub-Inspector.

According to police, Rana Pogag and Junmoni Rabha got engaged in October last year and they were planning to get married in November.

However, Rana Pogag had falsely claimed that he was working as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in Assam and duped several people by promising them to provide jobs at the company.

However, Junmoni Rabha filed an FIR after she came to know that he was a conman. While speaking to the media persons (as reported by ndtv.com), she said, “I am grateful to the three people who came to me with information about him (Rana Pogag) on how big a fraud he is. They opened my eyes.”
