Bhubaneswar: The 68th Odisha State (Senior and Junior) Athletics Championship 2022 was inaugurated at KIIT Athletics Stadium. KIIT and KISS Founder, Kandhamal MP Dr Achyuta Samanta inaugurated this Mega Sports event. The Championship will continue for four days till April 11, 2022.
More than two thousand athletes, coaches and officials from the thirty districts of Odisha, Paradeep Port, Odisha Post and Telecom have participated in this mega event. All the arrangement for these sports persons including boarding, fooding and other services are being organised by KIIT.
The Sports events will be held at the KIIT-KISS Athletic stadium in day and night. Internationally acclaimed sports personalities including Dutee Chand, Amiya Mallick and Jauna Murmu will participate in this Championship on behalf of KIIT. Also, many other talented sports personalities from the State will be taking part in this event.
The Odisha state government department for sports and youth services, Odisha Athletics Association as well as KIIT and KISS are jointly organising this mega sports event.
Odisha Athletics Association secretary Asirbad Behera, president G Srinibas Patnaik, joint secretary of the Odisha Sports and Youth Services Department Sailendra Jena, Odisha Olympic Association treasurer Adhip Das and joint secretary Avijit Paul graced the Sports event and encouraged the athletes.
