Tahsildar Fined Of Rs 5,000 In Nabarangpur District Of Odisha

Nabarangpur: The Nandahandi tahsildar has been fined of Rs 5,000 for failing to provide the certified copy of a mutation case by the District Consumer Court today in Nabarangpur district of Odisha.

The consumer court ordered the tahsildar to provide all the necessary documents with proof to the applicant of the case within 30 days.

According to reports, N Parameshwaran of Nabarangpur had applied at Nandahandi Tahildar office for a certified copy of the mutation case on October 1, 2019. However, he was not provided with his required documents even after repeatedly visiting the office.

Hence, Parameshwaran filed the issue with the district consumer court on November 28,2019.

The court registered the matter under case no 220/2019 after properly inspecting about the issue and began its hearing on the case.

After listening to both the parties today, the court directed the tahsildar to provide all the required documents to the applicant within 30 days and deposit fine of Rs 5,000.
