New Delhi: A plane with 34 passengers on-board landed on a frozen River by mistake in Russia on Thursday. The plane reportedly landed on the frozen River near an airport in far east Russia. The transport prosecutors reportedly termed it ‘pilot error’. No one was hurt in this incident.
A Soviet-era Antonov-24 plane made an emergency landing on a frozen river near Zyryanka, Yakutia, due to pilot error. All 30 passengers safely disembarked. No casualties reported, an X post by @BigBreakingWire said.
The Flight PI217 reportedly left Yakutsk, the capital of the Sakha republic in Russia’s Far East today morning and was on its way to Zyryanka that is about 1100km to the north-east. The temperature of the place is said to be around -40 degree C.
