Bhubaneswar: Chinese Telecom giant Xiaomi recently announced that its popular smartphone Mi A2 will receive a price cut of upto Rs 3000. Its price will not start from Rs 13,999. The price cut is applicable on its two storage variants.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Price Drop in India
Xiaomi Mi A2 comes in two storage variants in India. The base variant of 4GB RAM/ 64 GB internal storage received a price cut of Rs 2000 and will now be available at Rs. 13,999. The second variant of 6GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage got a price cut of Rs 3000 and will now be available at Rs 15,999.
The smartphone with new prices will now be available at Mi store and Amazon India from 12 pm Monday.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) Xiaomi Mi A2 was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo, though thanks to being a part of Android One programme, it received Android 9.0 Pie just in November, 2018. The smartphone features a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and pixel density of 403ppi. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, coupled with 4GB and 6GB RAM options.
The Mi A2 comes with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor in the primary camera, featuring 1.25-micron pixels with an f/1.75 aperture. There is also a 20-megapixel IMX376 sensor as the secondary rear camera, with 2-micron pixels, 4-in-1 Super Pixel tech, and f/1.75 aperture. For selfies, the smartphone sports a 20-megapixel sensor at the front, along with a soft-light LED flash.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Original Price
The smartphone was originally launched in August last year. Xiaomi launched the Mi A2 with a price tag of Rs. 16,999 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant, while it’s 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model arrived at Rs. 19,999. The original prices dropped by Rs. 1,000 last November that ultimately brought the Mi A2 to a starting price of Rs. 15,999, with the 6GB RAM variant priced at Rs. 18,999.
