WhatsApp Working On New Feature That Allows Users To Mute Videos Before Sharing

Facebook-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is always bringing new updates and features for users to have a better chatting experience.

Now some reports suggest that WhatsApp is working on a new feature called Mute videos that will allow users to mute a video before sharing it with a contact.

The new feature has been spotted on the latest version of WhatsApp beta– 2.21.3.13.

WhatsApp is currently testing the new feature on the beta version and gathering feedback from its WhatsApp beta users to know if there are any bugs or issues.

As per a report by WABetaInfo, the Mute videos option can be seen on the video-editing screen. Beta users can seek a volume icon under the seek bar and tap on it to mute the video before sending it to a contact.
Rest of the options remain the same with an emote option, text option, and edit option.

However, it is not revealed when this feature will be made available for all users.

Apart from this, WhatsApp is reportedly testing another feature that will allow users to get access to multiple devices at the same time. The dubbed as multi-device support. References to this feature were found in WhatsApp 2.21.1.1 beta for Android.

It is to be noted here that WhatsApp faced intense criticism by its users after it changed its privacy policy earlier this year. Due to which it lost many users as they started to migrate to other apps like Telegram and Signal.
