Instagram “Rage Shake” Feature: Now Report a problem just by shaking your phone

The popularity of Instagram has significantly increased in the recent times across the World. A drastic rise of Instagram use on iOS and Android platforms has pushed the app makers to introduce many features over a course of time. Recently Instagram has added a new feature called ‘Rage Shake’ feature that allows its users to report a problem on the app. Another feature added on the application is the Carousal deletion feature. Both the features can be availed on Android and iOS.

The head of Instagram ‘Adam Mosseri’ informed on Wednesday through a tweet that both the new features are expected to improve the user experience. The ‘rage shake’ feature will let users to report a problem very quickly. If a user finds out that the app is not working as it is supposed to work he/ she can shake the phone while the app is open. A pop-up screen will appear on the screen and ask “Did something go wrong?” with space for you to report the issue.

The other feature that is introduced on Instagram is the ‘Carousel Deletion’ feature. For those who are unfamiliar with Instagram, a carousel is a post with multiple photographs or videos and can be viewed by a swiping or clicking left. Users can add up to 10 images/ videos and share as a single post on the feed. With this recent update users have the ability to delete a single image from a photo carousel.

How to use Carousel Deletion

• Open the app
• Go to three dots menu at the top right
• Hit edit, swipe to the photo you want to get rid of
• A delete icon at the top left will appear
• Use the delete icon to remove it from the carousal

It is worth mentioning that the above mentioned features have been introduced in USA. The Instagram users at other parts of the World will be able to access the feature soon. However, the Carousel Deletion feature is only available on iOS and not on Android. The Android users in US are expected to get the feature very soon.
