HMD has been working on a Barbie phone for some time now and now we know that the phone will be launching on August 28, 2024. The launch of the smartphone has been delayed but now it seems that the company is ready for the launch. It has posted an official image of the phone on its X handle.
HMD had teased about a new line-up with several devices way back in February. A pink-themed phone was scheduled for launch in July. While Skyline and Crest models have arrived this month Barbie is running a bit late.
While not much has been revealed about the phone by the company till now, it is expected to be a Barbie phone. The flip phone will be running on either a S30+ or KaiOS. HMD is teasing it to be a digital detox phone and it will restrict you from overconsuming social media.
The company is also working on a Detox Mode for the Skyline. We can expect the Barbie Phone by HMD to be similar to the Nokia 2780 Flip. Speaking about the colour of the Barbie phone we can see that the device is quite pinkish in nature.
