Odisha Suspends Interstate Bus Operation Due To Surge In Covid Cases

Bhubaneswar: As per the new guidelines issued by Odisha government, all interstate bus operation will remain suspended from today till further orders in view of COVID-19 cases.

However, buses will continue to operate within the state as usual with certain restrictions. As per the new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued recently, buses and other public transport can operate with full seating capacity but standing of passengers inside buses will not be permitted.

Only two passengers apart from the driver will be allowed in auto and cabs.

Similarly, all government and private educational institutions along with the hostels in the state will be closed from today. There will be no educational programs at the school.

Fifty percent of government employees will be allowed to work whereas the private offices has been instructed to work with less staff.
