Extensive ED raids to be conducted ahead of General Elections 2024
Bhubaneswar: Extensive ED raids will be conducted ahead of the General Elections 2024 said reliable reports in this regard on Wednesday. Strict action will be taken against law breakers.
Reports say that for this, the Chief Secretary has given instructions to various enforcement agencies. In view of the upcoming general elections, the Chief Administrative Secretary has held a state-level coordination meeting with various enforcement agencies in the state.
In the meeting he emphasized that the ED raids, ensure that there is no disorder in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections such as consumption of drugs, smuggling, illegal arms trade.
In coordination with Police, Excise, Forest, Commercial Departments, emphasis will be given to collection of cash. There will be strict vigilance raids at as many as 118 police check posts along Odisha border in different districts of the state. Drug smuggling will be strictly prevented.
