IPL 2024 GT vs LSG: Lucknow Super Giants beat Gujarat Titans by 33 runs
The 21st league match of IPL 2024 tournament saw a clash between the Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday. In the match, Lucknow managed to beat Gujarat by 33 runs. Yesterday’s GT vs LSG match took place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
The match began with KL Rahul led team Lucknow winning the toss and opting to bat first. By the end of the first innings, LSG sat with a score of 163 runs for five wickets. Gujarat Titans, led by Shubman Gill, made a solid start to the game. Sai Sudharsan and captain Gill partnered and clinched 54 runs.
With 72 needed in 36 balls, and with Yash Thakur’s golden arm, LSG were inching to close the match very quickly. After dismissing Gill early in the innings, he returned for his second over and had Rashid Khan (0) chip to cover a slower ball, and Vijay Shankar (17) was caught behind swiping at a short ball.
After yesterday’s GT vs LSG match, Lucknow Super Giants sit on the third position on the IPL 2024 points table with an NRR of +0.775. Meanwhile, Gujarat titals remain on the seventh position of the table with an NRR of -0.797.
