India won their first gold on Day 2, when Nirmala Sheoran won the yellow metal in Women’s 400m. Jisna Matthew of India settled for the. Bronze.
In Men’s 400m, Mohammad Anas gave India another Gold, while Rajiv Sarokia took the Silver.
In Women’s 1500m, Chitra PU stunned everyone by winning the Gold medal. In Men’s 1500m, Ajay Kumar Saroj added the 4th Gold for India of Friday evening. Tejinder Pal Singh won a Silver in Men’s Shot Put.
