Kerala nurse wins whopping Rs. 70 crore lottery In UAE’s big ticket raffle

One has become an overnight millionaire with winning a massive sum of 3 crore UAE dirhams which is about 70,56,65,400 in INR. This shocking incident happened in a recent Big Ticket raffle draw of the UAE. Reportedly, Manu Mohanan from Kerala who works under the medical sectors in Bahrain is the lucky person. Mohanan had purchased two tickets for the draw on 26 December 2024 and got the other one free because of the promotions.

When the winning ticket number, 535948, was announced on live TV, Mohanan was shocked and could not believe it. He had to ask the host thrice to believe the news. This is his fifth year of trying his luck, along with his friends. Mohanan has been working as a nurse in Bahrain for seven years.

Interestingly, another Indian expat, Arvind Appukuttan, who had won a mind-boggling Rs. 59 crore in the previous draw, played a part in this month’s draw when he helped the host pick the winning ticket.Appukuttan, who has only one ticket remaining for this month’s draw, said he would split the prize money among 19 friends, many of whom will use the funds to pay off debts and cover wedding expenses.

For the last three decades, the Big Ticket lottery has been a major feature of weekends in the UAE. People worldwide have participated for the chance of winning big money. For Mohanan, it is a matter of being in his dreams, and undoubtedly he is looking forward to a better and secured future.
