‘Ama Bus’ accident continues as 3-year-old boy killed after being hit in Khurda, second mishap in 2 days

Khurda: The ‘Ama Bus’ accident continues as a three-year-old boy was killed after being hit by the bus near Pubusahi at Barsahi Chhak in Khurda district on Thursday.
One Ashok Barik was returning home on a bike along with his three-year-old son Amulya and his wife Pushpa after completing his work. However, a speeding ‘Ama Bus’ collided head-on with their two-wheeler killing Amulya on the spot and leaving his parents critically injured.
A tension escalated on the spot as a group of locals staged a protest after the driver of the ‘Ama Bus’ fled immediately after causing the accident.
Soon, cops from the Khurda Town Police station arrived at the scene and pacified the irate locals and launched a search operation to trace the absconding driver.
This is the second such tragic mishap caused by the ‘Ama Bus’ in just two days. A man named Ashok Bala was killed and another person, Naresh Swain, sustained critical injuries after a Mo Bus hit their bike near Panda Sahi in Bhingarpur panchayat on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar yesterday.
