Madhya Pradesh: A truck carrying gas cylinders was swept away by a flooded river while crossing the Talliya Bridge on the Barela-Padaria road in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh on Monday afternoon.
The region has been experiencing continuous heavy rain for the past 24 hours, causing rivers and streams to overflow.
According to the reports, the truck was pulled into the strong current within minutes of attempting to cross the bridge and sank soon after. Several gas cylinders were seen floating downstream, raising concerns about possible leaks.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident.
However, it is still unclear whether the driver and the cleaner managed to escape or were trapped inside when the truck swept away.
Rescue operations are underway to locate any missing persons and recover the vehicle. Additionally, the local administration has launched an investigation into the incident.
