Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Ministry of Home Affairs has written to the CSs and Administrators of all states and UTs
New Delhi: Ministry of Home Affairs has written to the Chief Secretaries and Administrators of all states and Union Territories on the situation of rising India Pakistan tensions.
The Ministry has further urged them to invoke emergency powers under civil defence rules for efficient implementation of the necessary precautionary measures in case of war or war-like situation.
It is worth mentioning that post Operation Sindoor by the Indian Army, Pakistan has repeatedly resorted to ceasefire violations along the LoC giving rise to a war-like situation.
The Operation was undertaken by the Indian Army in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 in which as many as 26 tourists were killed in the Baisaran valley by terrorists who emerged from the dense forests surrounding the valley.
