Congress has said that after winning the elections, this amount will be given to women. Earlier, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi has also announced to give Rs 2,100 every month to women.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar was present when this scheme was announced. He said about the announcement of this scheme, ‘Today I have come here to launch the ‘Pyari Didi’ scheme. I am fully confident that Congress will form the government in Delhi and we will give Rs 2,500 to women. A decision on this will be taken in the first cabinet meeting itself. We implemented this same model in Karnataka,’ Shivakumar said.
The scheme of direct money transfer to women in banks is being implemented in many states of the country. ‘Ladli Behen Yojana’ was started for women in Madhya Pradesh. After this, the same ‘ladki behan yojana’ scheme became very popular in Maharashtra too. This time in the Delhi elections, all the parties are attracting women voters by announcing such schemes.
Meanwhile, today the Election Commission (EC) has released the final voter list. According to the commission, there will be a total of more than 1.55 crore voters in the Delhi elections this time. Out of them, the number of male voters is 83,49,645 while the number of female voters is 71,73,952. The number of third gender is 1,261.
