Hyderabad: The tragic death of multi-lingual actress Soundarya in an air crash still remains a mystery in the film industry. The actress was at the peak of her career. She and her brother were travelling to Bengaluru while she lost her life in an air crash on April 7, 2004.
Years after her passing, new story has come to light claiming that her death was not an accident but a planned murder. A person named Gattla Chittibabu has filed a complaint against tollywood veteran actor Mohan Babu accusing him of being involved and planning the air crash which took the life of actress Soundarya and her brother.
According to the complaint, Soundarya had a six acres land in Jalpally, under the Shamshabad region in her name. It is said that Mohan Babu asked her to sell the land to him, but her brother opposed it. This, Chittibabu claims, led to tensions between Soudarya’s family and Mohanbabu.
Chittibabu further complained that Soundarya and her brother were on their way to Telangana for a party campaign on April 7, 2004, when they were killed in an air crash which was planned by none other than Mohan Babu. He also claimed that Mohan Babu illegally occupied the six-acre lad after the actress’s death.
In his complaint, Chittibabu has requested authorities to take action and seize action against the illegally occupied land.
The complaint has created a stir in Telugu film industry.
