Sara Tendulkar, daughter of the cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been appointed the brand ambassador for Australia’s International tourism campaign ‘Come and Say G’day’. The campaign is valued at approximately USD 130 million and will run for two years.
As per the reports, the campaign is set to launch in key international markets. Starting its roll out with China on August 7 and then followed by other countries later this year.
Sara, who is popular among young Indians on social media, has been chosen to attract the youth and inspire them to travel to Australia.
She will reportedly join well known global faces like British Chef Nigella Lawson, Chinese actor Yosh Yu, Australian Wildlife expert Robert Irwin, Japanese Comedian Abareru-Kun and Australian actor Thomas Weatherall.
The campaign will also feature Ruby the Roo who is an animated Kangaroo that appeared first in the campaign’s 2022 edition.
Tourism Australia is planning to create special content for each country to match what people from those places look for in a holiday. In addition, the Australian government’s total spending for the campaign has been estimated to reach USD 255 million.
