Instagram app for iPad has been announced by the Meta owned company. If you are someone who loves scrolling Instagram, you can do so on a bigger portable screen. “People have asked for this for a while, and we’ve taken the time to design an experience that optimizes your favourite parts of Instagram for a bigger screen,” says the official blog of Instagram.

What’s new in Instagram for iPad?

The Instagram app for iPad offers a redesigned experience for those who are interested in using bigger screen for a better entertainment. As users open the app, they drop into Reels. They also see ‘Stories’ at the top and can easily connect with the people. Messaging the users on the app is just a tap away.

There is a new “Following” tab on iPad which offers multiple ways to check the latest happening among the accounts you follow.

Users can choose the order from three feeds in the order of priority.

“When designing Instagram for iPad, we wanted to take advantage of the bigger screen to give people more features with fewer taps, while keeping it simple. We’ve made it easier to catch up on your messages and notifications with layouts that display both tabs. When you watch reels, you can expand the comments while the reel stays at full size, making it easy to catch up on the best reactions without missing a moment. It’s the Instagram you love, now with more space to play,” mentioned the official blog post from Instagram.

The iPad models that support iPadOS 15.1 and later OS, can install ‘Instagram for iPad’. It is available for download on the App Store. The new tablet design will be available soon to Android.
