Grey beard of Virat Kohli worries fans, is he hinting at ODI retirement?

Fans have been disturbed and shocked following a social media picture of Virat Kohli in a grey beard which is going viral now.

Virat Kohli was recently spotted in London but his fans were left making faces after spotting his grey beard. Snapped with another man who is identity is uncertain, the cricketer’s grey beard didn’t go well with his fans.

He seemed unrecognisable with the grey beard that hit like a thorn in the eyes of his fans. Just about to turn 37 this year, his fans were left in a rather dumbfound state over his look.

He was last spotted in an event hosted by Yuvraj Singh on July 10. At a charity function for Yuvraj Singh’s YouWeCan foundation. The function had cricket greats such as Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, and Kevin Pietersen present.

Kohli joked about his grey beard, remarking, “I just coloured my beard two days ago. You know it’s time when you are colouring your beard every four days,” as stated in Times of India. This witty remark suggested that he had made up his mind to retire from Test cricket.

He had sparked concern among the cricket lovers after he hinted on his decision to retire from Test cricket.

Speaking at the same event Kohli recalled his early years those in the dressing room, especially Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan with whom he enjoyed a close bond. “We had a great understanding, both on and off the field,” Kohli reminisced as he reaffirmed that good old days. Likewise, he noted an instance back in 2017 during the England series where, Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni scored runs, and, “I still remember me telling KL or…. that this is like childhood days watching on big TV. I have a lot of love and respect for him.”
