Bhubaneswar: Rain is Odisha is expected to start in a days time. While a low pressure has already formed in the Bay of Bengal, yet another is expected to be experienced after this. It is likely to form on September 25.
As a result, the Regional Meteorological Center here in Bhubaneswar has predicted that heavy rains will continue in the state for five more days that is till September 28. The possible low pressure may further intensify and take the form of a depression. Due to this, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in many places of the state.
By September 26, it is likely to turn into a depression in the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal, South Odisha and Andhra coasts. It will cross the South Odisha-North Andhra coasts on September 27.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain in seven districts today. Heavy rain is likely in various places in the state for five days due to the effect of the low pressure. Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the sea as it is expected to be turbulent.
