Bhubaneswar: In a major piece of news, the flight with Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi has been diverted to Kolkata, due to torrential rains in Bhubaneswar.

According to reports, the flight Airbus AI 473 from Delhi was supposed to land in Bhubaneswar but had to be diverted to Kolkata due to heavy rain in Bhubaneswar.

It is further worth mentioning here that, the CM had been to Delhi on a four day visit to attend the Semicon India 2025 event.

At the event CM Majhi expressed his happiness over coming up of two semiconductor projects in Odisha out of the four such projects approved by the Union Cabinet. He said that after Gujarat, Odisha is the second destination for semiconductor projects.

“…We had visited Singapore and worked hard in this direction. We will hold discussions with different international CEOs here today. We have the best semiconductor policy with the best incentives for companies in the state,” the Odisha CM said.
