Bhubaneswar: Traffic advisory issued for Bhasani, avoid these roads to get rid of traffic congestion

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Tuesday issued traffic advisory for the Durga Maa puja Bhasani, the immersion processions of the idols in the capital city, Bhubaneswar of Odisha, which will take place on October 3, Friday.
Four Bhasani committees have been created for immersion procession of Durga Maa idols for different puja pandals of Bhubaneswar – Shaheed Nagar, Nayapalli, Chandrasekharpur and Old town. The Commissionerate Police has given permission for the four Bhasani celebrations.
Accordingly, Police have issued traffic advisory. On the 3rd of October, there will be restrictions on vehicular movement from 2 pm to 1 am for the Bhasani or immersion of idols procession.
For the procession of Shaheed Nagar, no vehicles will ply from Rajmahal to Master Canteen to Vani Vihar.
Similarly, for Nayapalli, there will be restrictions from CRP to DAV and then to Shiripur via Gopabandhu Chhack.
For Chandrashekharpur, there will be restrictions on vehicular movement from Nandankanan to Jayadev Vihar.
Due to this arrangement and to avoid traffic congestion the city residents will travel via the side roads.
All vehicles coming from Khordha side will not be allowed to go on the service roads. They can only go on the NH (flyovers).
Besides, 7 places have been identified for idol immersion. BMC has informed all the puja committees about this.
Similarly, Ravan Podi will be held at 7 places in Bhubaneswar.
