SUV Hits Police Personnel In Patna, 1 Killed and 2 Critically Injured
Two police officials were critically injured including a woman constable killed in an accident in Patna of Bihar district. Probe on-going.
Bihar: In a dire road mishap in Patna in Bihar, a woman constable was killed and two police personnel were injured after a speeding car rammed onto them. Police have arrested two accused in the accident.
According to information, the incident is believed to have taken place late last night when the Patna Police was reportedly investigating all the vehicles on Atal Road under SK Puri police station in Patna. Suddenly, a black SUV struck and knocked three police personnel.
The impact proved to be fatal as police personnel were cynically injured. They were immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment by the assistance of the police force. One woman constable, Komal, succumbed to her injuries during the treatment.
Meanwhile, the car owner is currently absconding. However, the police managed to nab the other two passengers from the car and have taken them into custody.
This incident has sparked concerns including RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari himself raising questions about the law enforcement and it’s tranquility in Patna.
The police have launched a probe into the matter and stringent action will be taken against the accused, police sources said.
