7 killed after vehicle rams into truck in Bihar’s Rohtas
Seven people lost their lives in a fatal accident that took place around 3 AM on Wednesday in Bihar's Rohtas.
Bihar: As many as seven people lost their lives in a tragic road incident in Rohtas district of Bihar. The accident took place at around 3 AM on August 30 (Wednesday). The accident took place on the NH-2 near the Siasagar area of Rohtas.
Reportedly, a vehicle carrying 12 passengers was returning from Ranchi in Jharkhand when the vehicle rammed into a stationary truck. Allegedly, the driver of the bus dozed off midway, causing the ill-fated accident.
Upon receiving information about the accident, the local police and authorities rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation. The injured people were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for immediate medical treatment. A probe into the matter has been initiated by the local police.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. As per reports, the bodies of the deceased have been sent to a nearby hospital for post-mortem. Further details on this matter awaited.
