Bhubaneswar: Amid rise in Covid-19 cases in Odisha, the Public Health director Niranjan Mishra have informed that Covid-19 testing has increased in the state.
Yesterday, around 690 samples have been tested, of which 378 are RT-PCR. Around three people have tested positive for the deadly virus Covid-19. The active cases tally rises to eight, informs Public Health director.
All the Covid patients are under home isolation and no one is admitted in the hospital, so there is nothing to panic. The situation is under inspection, he further added.
According to the national data, more than 92% of those infected with the virus are in home isolation and the majority who are admitted in the hospital and the reason behind their death is due to co-morbid factors.
We cannot say anything regarding the rise of Covid-19 cases now and the situation is being monitored. If it rises, there is no reason to panic, informed Niranjan Mishra.
