BMW R 1300 RS revealed for Indian market, to launch with a bunch of updates very soon
BMW R 1300 RS is the successor of the R 1250 RS and is powered by a 1300cc boxer engine that is also present in the R 1300 GS.
BMW will be launching the R 1300 RS in India very soon and the company has revealed it. The BMW R 1300 RS is the new generation sports tourer offered by the company. It is the fairer version of the R 1300 R and gets a 1300cc boxer twin engine.
BMW R 1300 RS is the successor of the R 1250 RS and is powered by a 1300cc boxer engine that is also present in the R 1300 GS. The engine generates 145hp of maximum power at 7,750rpm while the peak torque is 149Nm at 6500rpm. The engine gets a 6-speed gearbox along with a bi-directional quickshifter.
The motorcycle gets same main-frame as the R 1300 GS, but the sub-frame is like the R 1300 R. The R 1300 GS gets a USD fork with adjustable spring rate. There is Electronic suspension as an optional accessory. When it comes to brakes, there is a twin discs at the front that gets 4-piston calipers. There is a single disc brake at the rear. The R 1300 GS gets 17-inch wheel at the rear and front. The seat height is 790mm for the rider while the fuel tank is 17-liter. The tourer gets a 245kg weight and is 8 kg heavier than R 1300 GS.
There are electronic aids offered in the motorcycle and this includes traction control, active cruise control with forward collision warning, engine braking control, and much more. Riding modes include Eco, Rain, and Road. There are four variants that are offered in the motorcycle and this includes- Basic version, Triple Black, Performance and Option 719 Cuyamaca.
The price of the BMW R 1300 RS is expected to be less than R 1300 GS that costs Rs 21.20 lakh.
