Tata Motors unveils the concept of upcoming electric car ‘Avinya EV’, to offer 500 km range
Tata Motors has unveiled the concept for its new electric car ‘Avinya’ in India. The best thing about the Tata Avinya EV is that it is expected to provide a minimum range of 500km. The company has also stated that a production-spec version of the Avinya will enter the Indian market by 2025. The company has stated that the term Avinya is derived from Sanskrit and it means innovation.
According to Tata motors, the Avinya Pure EV is based on the third-generation architecture. The company has solely designed the electric car while keeping in mind the Indian auto market. Tata has clarified that Avinya EV will hit the Indian market within 24 months or 2 years after the launch of Tata Curvv.
“Inspired by the timeless elegance of the catamaran, the #Avinya concept EV focuses on a human-centric design and promises a sensory journey of its own,” mentioned Tata on its official Twitter handle.
In terms of design, the looks of the concept car is futuristic yet simple. At the front, the car gets a sleek LED strip that connects the headlamps. The T-shaped LED strip also acts as an integrated daytime running light. The grille at the front also adds to the majestic style of the car. From the side profile, we can see that the car gets huge alloy wheels. There is a presence of large chunky bumper at the rear. The LED strip runs across the back of the car which makes the design of the car rally attractive.

The cabin of the car easily fit 5 people in it. Tata claims that the car is spacious enough for its passengers as well safe. The dashboard of the car is minimalistic with a large touchscreen infotainment system and an all-digital instrument cluster. The steering of the car also gets a unique shape. In terms of safety, we expect Tata to offer great features which are currently offered on its top-spec cars as well as ADAS.
When it comes to range, a 500 km on a full range is expected to be more than sufficient. In a real-world scenario, if the car shows a range of more than 400 kms, it will be a great option for Indian buyers. Tata has claimed that the car will offer 500 km range in a charge of just 30 minutes.
