Russia has found a cancer vaccine, this has been developed at the Gamaleya National Research Center. It is the same lab where the Sputnik-V Covid vaccine was developed. Reports further say that, it will soon be tested on humans.

The Russian government has announced that human trials will begin in late 2025. Initially, this vaccine will be tested for skin cancer. Later, it will be tested for other cancers. This is an mRNA vaccine. Which is based on genetic structure.

This vaccine will increase the body’s immunity and identify and destroy cancer cells. If successful, the government will provide it to Russian citizens free of charge. The cost of each dose will be $ 2,869. In pre-clinical trials, this vaccine has shown success in preventing tumor growth and metastasis or the spread of cancer.

Its first phase of human trials will begin in September-October at the Herzogenaurach Research Institute and the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center in Moscow. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been used in the preparation of this vaccine. Which can identify genetic mutations of tumors in less than an hour. This vaccine is not a cancer prevention, but will be used to treat cancer patients.

Scientists around the world are waiting for the results of clinical trials on humans of this vaccine. This vaccine works on neoantigens. Which are found only in cancer cells.

Other countries in the world are also researching mRNA-based cancer vaccines. Companies like BioNTech and Moderna of the US and the UK are working in this direction.
