Gajapati: In a shocking incident, a man killed his wife and then died by hanging from a tree over an alleged extra-marital affair. The incident happened in Gaiba village under Serang police limits in Gajapati district.
The man identified as Narendra Paika killed his wife Monalisa on Monday morning and then recorded a video confessing his crime. The video is going viral on the Internet now. Later in the evening his body was found hanging from a tree in a nearby jungle.
Monalisa had fallen in love with Narendra and then the duo had got married. She belonged to Keradanga village under Nuagarh block in Gajapati district.
After their marriage they were living together at her in-laws house as a happy couple. Fights were a regular happening between the couple after a point of time over extra-marital affair.
Police seized the bodies and has lodged two cases and is investigating the matter.
