National Mediation conference in Bhubaneswar welcomes over 2000 delegates

Bhubaneswar: A two-day National Mediation Conference has begun in Bhubaneswar from yesterday. The program was organized at the Lok Seva Bhavan Convention Hall.

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court B.R. Gavai inaugurated the event. A national workshop has been organized on dispute resolution through mediation.

The program was attended by the Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Justice of the High Court and the State Law Minister.

The conference was attended by 2000 delegates, including the Chief Justices of the Supreme Court and various High Courts. The main objective of this conference is to create public awareness among the people about the Mediation Act. Matrimonial, land disputes and other small cases are being delayed in the courts for years.

The conference discussed how steps can be taken through the Mediation Act to resolve this easily and quickly. The Mediation Act came into effect in 2023.

Efforts are being made to resolve disputes that have been going on for years through this law. Now, with this act, people who repeatedly go to court for various cases will be reassured.

It was discussed that lawyers will no longer have to count money and court expenses will also be reduced. Secondly, the problem can be resolved in a short time.

Thirdly, it was discussed in the conference that the relationship between the parties can be protected by reducing the bitterness between the parties.
