Bangladeshi man arrested after attempting to break glass at Kolkata airport

A 25-year-old Bangladeshi man was arrested after he tried to break the glass wall of the International Transit terminal in Kolkata Airport.

Kolkata: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old man from Bangladesh caused panic at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport after he tried to break the glass wall of the International Transit terminal on Friday.

According to the reports, the man had arrived from Singapore on an IndiGo flight in the afternoon and was supposed to take a connecting flight to Dhaka.

While waiting in the International transit terminal lounge, he unexpectedly tried to smash the glass wall in an attempt to exit the restricted area.

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel quickly caught him and stopped him for causing more damage. When they questioned him, he gave confused and unclear answer which raised doubts about his mental condition.

He was later handed over to the NSCBI Airport police station and the Bidhan Nagar police officially arrested him in the evening. Authorities confirmed that he had been living and working in Singapore.

Additionally, police have started an investigation into the matter.
