10 dead in bus accident in West Bengal, more than 30 injured
As many as 10 people have died and 30 others have been injured in a bus accident in West Bengal, rescue operations underway
West Bengal: There has been a bus-truck head-on collision in Bardhaman of West Bengal as many as 10 people have died and 30 have been injured in the accident. All the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
Police are rescuing other trapped passengers. There were a total of 45 passengers in the bus. Five of them were children. All the passengers were from Bihar.
The accident was so terrible that the front of the bus was completely destroyed. Many passengers were trapped in it. The truck was removed with the help of a crane. Locals carried out rescue work after the accident. The exact cause of the accident is not known. Police are investigating by seizing the CCTV footage from the scene. However, according to local reports, the truck was stationary when the speeding bus hit it.
According to eyewitnesses, the speed of the bus was very high. Therefore, the bus driver could not see the stationary truck and hit it from behind. The accident was so terrible that the front of the bus was completely destroyed. Many passengers were trapped in it.
