Nokia launches World’s first 5G 360 Camera, offers 8K Video streaming

Nokia has launched world’s first 5G 360 degree camera on Tuesday and the device offers features like multimedia streaming up to 8K resolution, low-latency connection, spatial audio support and 5G capability. Nokia has mentioned that the camera offers real-time remote monitoring and remote operation. However, if you are wondering if you can get your hands on the camera, the answer is a big no. The device will be available to B2B customers only.

The device is called Nokia 360 Camera and it offers multiple connectivity options that include 5G, Wi-Fi and Ethernet. The Wi-Fi version is the more affordable of the two variants. The other variant is a 5G variant and can withstand extreme temperatures. The camera is a rugged camera and gets an IP67 water resistance rating. The device is also shock-resistant. The camera gets built-in security hardware. It is designed to work with the Nokia real-time eXtended Reality Multimedia (RXRM) software solution.

The platform offers 360 degree video along with 3D OZO audio. It helps companies build analytics, overlays, extended reality and multiple other features.
