Pakistan Air Force tests indigenous ‘Taimoor’ missile
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has successfully carried out flight tests of its indigenous Taimoor Weapon System, capable of striking targets up to 600 kilometers away.
Islamabad: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has announced on Saturday that they have successfully carried out flight tests of its indigenous Taimoor Weapon System, capable of striking targets up to 600 kilometers away.
According to the PAF, the test marks an important step in strengthening Pakistan’s aerospace and defense capabilities. The Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile can hit targets on land and at sea with high accuracy and carries a conventional warhead.
The missile is equipped with advanced navigation and guidance systems. It is designed to fly at very low altitude, helping it avoid enemy air and missile defense systems. Officials said this capability improves the operational flexibility and deterrence strength of the Pakistan Air Force.
The army said that the successful test reflects the technical expertise, innovation, and growing self-reliance of Pakistan’s defense industry. Senior officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces, along with scientists and engineers involved in the project, were present during the launch.
