Indian man has been apprehended by the Bangkok police for brandishing a pistol-shaped lighter among the crowd in the Siam Square
New-Delhi: In a bizzare incident, an Indian man has been apprehended by the Bangkok police for brandishing a pistol-shaped lighter among the crowd in the Siam Square.
The man, identified as Sahil Ram Thadani, was seen shouting at passers-by in front of Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square Soi 6 in Pathum Wan district on Oct. 13.
A video of the incident, which has circulated online, showed him walking on the streets of Bangkok, making loud noises and pointing out a gun-shaped object at the onlookers. The footage later shows Thadani sitting on the ground as security guards approach him to arrest him.
Thadani was taken to Pathum Wan police station. He was charged with threatening behavior and causing a public disturbance. They have said his actions were influenced by hallucinations due to cannabis consumption.
According to a police report, Sahil Ram Thadani had previously served as a director for three companies in India that are no longer operational.
