A video of an NRI kid’s reaction after seeing a restaurant bill in Chennai has gone viral. The kid was seen reading out loud the items on the bill and the total amount paid for them.
The boy, who seems to live in New Zealand, was left in disbelief after he realised that the total bill paid for seven food items is only Rs 1,502 which is around 30 New Zealand dollars. He exclaims that in New Zeland just 2-3 items cost $200!”
In the viral video, the boy was seen reading out food items such as baby corn manchurian, bonda, dahi papdi, a special falooda, idli, paneer masala dosa, and veg noodles. Then he counts then one by one and was left surprised by the cheap food bill in Chennai in comparison to New Zealnd.
The video seems to have been shared by his mother who captioned the video as Today’s lesson for “my NRI kid: Indian food = happiness, bill = surprise happiness.”
