Viral video: Aircraft hits car while making emergency landing on highway
The driver of a car escaped narrowly after a small aircraft hit the vehicle while making an emergency landing on a busy highway.
New Delhi: The driver of a car escaped narrowly after a small aircraft hit the vehicle while making an emergency landing on a busy highway. The video of the incident has gone viral on internet. The incident reportedly took place on Interstate 95 in US’s Florida on Monday. Thousands of vehicles run through the Interstate 95 daily as it is a major north-south highway running along the eastern coast.
According to sources, a Beechcraft 55 aircraft which was carrying pilot, 27, from Orlando, and a 27-year-old passenger suddenly crashed onto the busy highway and fell on a 2023 Toyota Camry, which was being driven by a 57-year-old woman.
The video shows the aircraft crashing on top of the car, bouncing slightly, and sending sparks on the road as it skids off for some distance and stops. Meanwhile, the car short of bounced after the aircraft crashed on it then it stopped behind the plane.
Miraculously, the woman received only minor injuries and was rushed to Viera Hospital for treatment. The other two in the plane also escaped with only minor injuries.
The whole incident was captured in a car’s dashcam, which was going behind the Camry.

Meanwhile the exact cause of the emergency landing has not been confirmed. However, the towing company has suggested that the plane may have run out of fuel.
An investigation has been ordered into the incident.
