Tuition teacher shot at in Mayurbhanj of Odisha, hospitalized in critical condition

The incident took place at the old brick kiln (Puruna Itabhati) road in Shakua village under Badasahi police station limits of Mayurbhanj.

Mayurbhanj: In a shocking incident, a tuition teacher was shot in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha yesterday night. The incident took place at the old brick kiln (Puruna Itabhati) road in Shakua village under Badasahi police station limits of Mayurbhanj.

The victim has been identified as Sanjay Nayak of Mankadpal village.

As per reports, the tuition teacher was shot 2 times by the miscreants. Last night at around 10 pm, when Sanjay Nayak was returning from tuition, two miscreants fired 2 rounds at him near the old brick kiln road and fled from the scene. He was shot 2 times in the stomach. His condition is critical due to heavy bleeding.

Following the incident, the locals rescued him and rushed to the Baripada hospital in a critical condition.

On receiving the information, Badasahi police reached the spot and initiated investigation.

So far, the reason behind the shooting is yet to be ascertained. Police probe is underway.
