Registration for plots of Historic Cuttack Baliyatra 2025 to begin from tomorrow, know how to apply and other details
The Cuttack District Administration will begin the booking of stalls and registration process for the upcoming Historic Cuttack Balijatra-2025 from tomorrow.
Cuttack: The Cuttack District Administration will begin the registration process for the allotment of plots for the upcoming Historic Cuttack Baliyatra-2025 from tomorrow, informed Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Dibyalochan Mohanta today.
While addressing a press meet this evening, the Additional District Magistrate informed that the plots for the Baliyatra will be allotted only through auction and the interested individuals or institutions can apply for the same through both online and offline till October 6.
He further said that those who want to apply online can do so by visiting the official website -https://baliyatra.net and those who want to apply offline for the Baliyatra plot have to collect the application form from the Barabati Palace between 11 AM and 5 PM every day except on the government holidays by paying Rs 100 and submit it there on or before October 6.
An individual or institution can apply for a maximum of only three plots but they will have to deposit an initial registration amount of Rs 5000 for each plot, Mohanta said adding that a plot will be auctioned if there are more than one applicants for the same plot. However, there will be some reserved plots for the Odisha Rural Development & Marketing Society (ORMAS) and other government agencies.
This year, the auction process will start from October 13 with minimum bids of Rs 40, Rs 50 and Rs 60, the Additional District Collector informed adding that it has been decided to provide a space of up to 80 square feet to small traders at a cost of Rs 1,500.
He further clarified that as of now it has been decided to hold the Balijatra this year only at the Lower Baliyatra Ground where a total of 1670 stalls are being constructed on an area of 60 acres.
It is to be noted here that the Historic Cuttack Baliyatra 2025 will begin from November 5 (Wednesday) and is slated to continue till November 12 (Wednesday).
