Maoists kill local BJP leader suspecting him to be Police informer
In a brutal act of violence, Maoists have killed a BJP leader on the suspicions of being a police informer in Bijapur district.
Malkangiri: In a brutal act of violence, Maoists have killed a BJP leader on the suspicions of being a police informer in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh bordering Malkangari district in Odisha.
The deceased has been identified as Manderam Phudia, a local Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader. After killing him, the Maoists have left a poster at the scene. They have warned the people to stop being police informers otherwise they may face dire consequences.
“Whoever is working as a police informer, leave the league immediately. If not then you will be pronounced to death in the Mao praja court,” read the Mao poster. The Maoists had recently killed two Sarpanchs.
Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. A search operation has been started by police to nab the Maoists.
