Bhubaneswar: A severe cold wave continues to affect large parts of Odisha, with minimum temperatures remaining significantly low across entire state. There will be no respite from the cold wave conditions for the next five days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the cold wave conditions will prevail in the state over the next five days.

The weather department stated that G. Udayagiri and Udala have recorded the lowest minimum temperature making it the coldest location in the state during the period.

Daringbadi and Phulbani also recorded minimum temperatures of around 6 degrees Celsius.

The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre issued a yellow warning for dense fog in Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Puri, Khordha, Kandhamal and Nayagarh districts till January 2. Cold wave conditions are expected to persist across the state till January 4.
