AIIMS Bhubaneswar Lab Asst shot while on way to duty today, succumbs to injuries

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a Laboratory Assistant of the AIIMS hospital in Bhubaneswar was shot while he was coming to duty today.
Following the gunfire, he was rushed to AIIMS hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to the bullet injury while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The deceased man has been identified as Sudhanshu Khuntia of Ranasinghpur near Bhubaneswar AIIMS hospital. He was working as a Laboratory Assistant in AIIMS.
As per information, miscreants opened fire at the AIIMS employee when he was coming to duty today. The miscreants fired 3 rounds. As a result, he sustained critical injury. He was rescued by some locals and rushed to AIIMS for treatment in a critical condition.
However, he passed away while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
After getting information, Khandagiri Police reached the spot and then hospital. It has been known that the deceased’s body will be sent for autopsy.
It has been suspected that the Lab Asst was killed over a dispute over land. His family members have alleged that one of their relatives is behind this crime. They have demanded justice while further investigation of the case is underway.
