Youth allegedly dies due to police atrocity in Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh, a probe has been initiated into the matter
Bhopal: In a shocking incident, a youth allegedly died due to police atrocity in Bhopal district of Madhya Pradesh. The friends of the youth said that he had been reportedly beaten by a police officer.
According to reports, the deceased youth has been identified as Udit. The friends of the youth said that a police officer had reportedly beaten him to death. The group was reportedly drunk and when the police stopped them for questioning, Udit tried to run away. The police chased him, assaulted him and the entire incident was captured on CCTV.
Later, a post-mortem examination was conducted and reports indicated that the cause of death was pancreatic haemorrhage. An FIR was registered in this regard against the two constables who were accused, and an investigation has been initiated relating to the alleged police atrocity in Bhopal.
DCP Zone-2, Vivek Singh told ANI, “The entire sequence of events will be recreated, and an investigation will be conducted on the basis of technical evidence based on CCTV footage, and action will be initiated based on the findings.”
