Two helicopters crash midair in US, pilot killed

Hammonton: One person was killed and another was critically injured after two helicopters collided in midair in New Jersey on Sunday. According to police reports, the request for a rescue in an aviation crash came at about 11.25am.

According to reports, an Enstrom F-28A helicopter and Enstrom 280C helicopter collided midair over Hammonton Municipal Airport. One out of the two pilots on board each aircraft, was killed and the other one received critical injuries and is receiving treatment at the hospital.

The eyewitnesses described the incident and said that the helicopters take off before one began spiraling downward rapidly to the ground, followed by the other.

Police and fire crews subsequently extinguished flames that engulfed one of the helicopters.
