Earthquake of 6.7 magnitude hits Japan, Tsunami warning issued
An earthquake of 6.7 magnitude hit the northern Japan area on Friday. A Tsunami warning for the northern Pacific coastline has been issued.
Japan: An earthquake of 6.7 magnitude hit the northern Japan area on Friday. The earthquake has triggered Tsunami warning for the northern Pacific coastline of the country.
Following the earthquake, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has warned that tsunami waves of up to one metre (three feet) could hit the northern Pacific coastline.
The earthquake occurred 130 kilometres (81 miles) off the city of Kuji in Iwate prefecture on the main island of Honshu, informed United States Geological Survey (USGS)
Earlier on Monday, the country was hit with a 7.5-level tremor in the same region injured at least 50 people.
